PETER MCILWAIN - Now in Emptyspace

Peter is an accomplished and award winning composer with many decades of experience as a leading creative in computer music. He has won major prizes for his work both in Australia and Internationally including a shared Eureka Prize for research in computer music . Locally he is known for his innovative sonic and visual work  including sound installations such as “Imaginary Ornithology”, “Bird Child Spirit” and “Lung Trees” - look out for the upcoming “Body Ex Wild” installation in Birdsland in spring (see: bentnail.art). Recently he started playing an improvised sound installation in empty spaces like Belgrave's multi-story car park and it’s attracted the attention of the local music community. Sooki offers the rare chance to hear Peter fill the space with his inventive and fascinating soundscapes.
